Pete the Cat spent the month of November with us, telling us a wonderful story: Pete’s Big Lunch! We learned so much and had a fantastic time. We made a sandwich just like Pete’s!

Top English Speakers

Hello! Today I want to talk a little bit about our new activity: Top English Speakers  Each month, from 1st grade to 5th grade, we play a fun game called “Top English Speakers of the Month”. This year’s theme is Mario Bros! Everyone decorates their own “Toad” which starts with no stars. At the end of every English lesson, if the students have spoken “enough” English, their Toad moves one or two stars, but if they speak too much Spanish they will lose a star. If your Toad reaches the fifth star by the end of the month, you’ll get a special prize, it can be a small gift (like a pen) or something fun (like being the teacher’s helper for a week).  Students will also receive a congratulatory note to take home! Our English Blog begins!

  Hey there! This is Teacher Natalia here :) I’m really excited because I finally got the English Blog ready! In this space, I will share some of the fun things that we do in class with the different grades, like the songs that we are learning (sorry, but they will stick in your mind!), games we play, projects we create, and lots of new words we discover!
