Top English Speakers
Hello! Today I want to talk a little bit about our new activity: Top English Speakers Each month, from 1st grade to 5th grade, we play a fun game called “Top English Speakers of the Month”. This year’s theme is Mario Bros! Everyone decorates their own “Toad” which starts with no stars. At the end of every English lesson, if the students have spoken “enough” English, their Toad moves one or two stars, but if they speak too much Spanish they will lose a star. If your Toad reaches the fifth star by the end of the month, you’ll get a special prize, it can be a small gift (like a pen) or something fun (like being the teacher’s helper for a week). Students will also receive a congratulatory note to take home! At the start of a new month, we reset the chart and start all over again. Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more. See you!
